Privacy and data use
This application supports AddictionHelp’s editorial work: collecting source contributions, maintaining professional source relationships, checking relevant correspondence, and preparing source-supported content.
Invited sources
A personal invitation provides access only to its written interview. Submitted answers, attribution and stated conditions are stored privately for editorial review. Conditions are retained with the contribution. Submission does not itself establish that an editor accepted a requested embargo, confidentiality agreement, payment or article approval. Audio is optional. With explicit consent, recordings are stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage and transcribed through Cloudflare Workers AI. Machine transcripts can contain errors and require source and editorial review. Recording does not authorize raw-audio publication or voice training. Drafts are saved in the browser tab and, when Save draft is selected, privately on the server so the source can resume from the invitation link.
Optional AI-guided interview
If you opt in, Cloudflare Workers AI processes the selected answer and this interview’s questions to suggest a short follow-up. AI questions are separate from your words. You can decline, skip, stop or contact Chris. The AI cannot agree to source conditions or publish your answers. Optional read-aloud uses a standard local browser voice, not Chris’s voice. Source review and editorial verification remain required.
Reader questions
You may send a private editorial question without providing your name or email. If you choose to provide an email and allow a reply, the team may respond about that question. This does not enroll you in marketing or authorize publication of your submission. Please leave out medical records and identifying details about other people. This form is not an emergency or treatment service.
Connected Google accounts
Authorized team members may connect Gmail to read relevant source correspondence and send authorized editorial messages. Google’s Gmail permissions cover email messages and settings and sending on the connected account’s behalf. The application uses targeted correspondence searches and retains complete relevant threads, message identifiers and timestamps to avoid missed replies and duplicate actions.
The team may also connect Google Sheets. Google’s permission covers spreadsheets in that account. This application’s synchronization is restricted to the existing AddictionHelp team tracker. It reads current rows and team notes before preparing bounded updates and preserves comments, notes and row order.
Connected social accounts
Authorized team members can connect AddictionHelp’s brand accounts to publish approved article posts and verify their delivery. The application requests only the publishing and readback permissions needed for each channel. Page connection credentials are encrypted in the private Cloudflare database. Post drafts, delivery attempts, provider identities and verification receipts are retained to prevent duplicate publication. No advertising campaign, paid promotion or access to unrelated social accounts is authorized by this workflow.
Storage and access
Application data is stored in AddictionHelp’s Cloudflare deployment. Google connection tokens are encrypted before storage. The editorial workspace is restricted to authorized Chris Carberg and Michael team accounts. Sources cannot browse other interviews or the editorial library. Operational backups and recovery evidence may also be retained in the team’s private workspace.
Selected source contributions may be indexed for private semantic search through Cloudflare Workers AI and Vectorize. The application does not use Google account data for advertising, selling contact lists, or training a general-purpose model. Professional discovery services are separate from Gmail access; private email bodies are not submitted to those people-search services.
Choice, corrections and deletion requests
Invitations expire and can be withdrawn. You may skip interview questions or reply directly to Chris. To correct a submission, request deletion or discuss attribution and reuse, contact chris@addictionhelp.com. Editorial records may need to be retained to document source conditions, published claims and corrections; the team will review the scope of a request.
Connected Google users can revoke application access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future Google API access; it does not automatically remove previously retained editorial records.
